Dennis is an employee here at K & W Wholesale, Inc.
This year he planted his first vegetable garden.
After working the soil and adding Orgaplus organic fertilizer,
he planted tomato, onion, pepper, cucumber, squash, cilantro, cantalope and basil plants.
The photo below was taken on planting day - April 25, 2010.

This next picture shows the garden three weeks later - May 15, 2010. See the pepper on the plant!

May 22, 2010 - Just one month after planting and there are sweet peppers, small tomatoes are on the vine, cucumbers on the vines and blossoms on the cantalope vines. The garden is watered twice a week.

Tomatoes Green Peppers Cantalopes

We don't have a picture of the garden for the first weekend in July. The heat and drought are taking a toll on the plants.
The tomatoes are starting to produce regularly, one or two a day now. Cantalopes are getting bigger as well.
The garden will probably undergo some major changes soon, but we will keep tabs on the tomato harvest for a while.
We have big hopes for a fall garden!! Everyone do a rain dance till we get about 3 inches of the wet stuff.
Here are tomatoes that were picked on July 5, 2010. Looks like one slice per sandwich!

After getting much needed rain, the harvest is increasing. Thanks to everyone who did the rain dance.
July 12, 2010 brought over 50 tomatoes, several varities of peppers and a cucumber. Canning time!
